It is the perfect place for those who want to develop their passion for Italian food through an authentic informal cooking holiday. Each hands-on lesson is accompanied by tastings of local seasonal specialities together with carefully selected examples of Abruzzo wines. 
Every tour features its own unique seasonal theme such as salami, tomato passata sauce or gelato making, participating in the grape or olive harvest, joining an exciting truffle hunt or exploring the amazing Abruzzo countryside on foot.

Day 1:

Rome – Vasto Afternoon group transfer from Rome Fiumicino airport to the ancient Roman town of Vasto. Check in to the charming family run hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner. (D)


Day 2:

Vasto This morning visit Vasto's colourful market and enjoy a cooking class with Mamma to learn how to make fresh pasta and seasonal sauces. After lunch explore Vasto and meet some local artisans. Dinner tonight is at leisure. (B,L)


Day 3:

Punta Aderci Nature Reserve - Rocca San Giovanni Weather permitting enjoy a special fish cooking class on a trabocco, a wooden fishing hut constructed from acacia wood and iron railway sleepers unique to Abruzzo. Afternoon visit to the enchanting Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere. Dinner tonight is in a traditional restaurant. (B,L,D)


Day 4:

Lentella Travel to Lentella, deep in the forest, for an exciting truffle hunting session with an experienced truffle hunter and dogs. Enjoy a truffle cookery demonstration using the truffles collected followed by lunch. This afternoon is at your leisure. (B,L)


Day 5:

Roccascalegna After an early breakfast, visit a sheep and cow farm. Learn how to prepare ricotta cheese and enjoy a delicious traditional lunch including warm just made ricotta cheese. This afternoon explore Abruzzo’s captivating castle in the sky in Roccascalegna. (B,L)


Day 6:

Near Vasto Visit the La Selvotta Olive Grove, which has been farmed by the Giovanni family for three generations to produce DOP olive oils and enjoy an olive oil tasting. Continue to the award winning winery of Fontefico situated between a marine park and the mountains, for a wine tasting paired with local cheese and salami and tour of the vineyard and cellars. After lunch, enjoy a pizza cooking class including traditional bruschette and tiramisu. (B,L,D)


Day 7:

Vasto – Rome After breakfast, depart for Rome’s Fiumicino airport on a group transfer. (B)
