Day 1:

Montecatini Arrive at your hotel in Montecatini. This evening meet your tour escort and enjoy a welcome dinner. (D)

Day 2:

Florence Depart for Florence for a morning walking tour through the historical centre. Admire the Baptistry, the Duomo and Giotto’s bell tower and the houses of power in the old city, the Piazza della Signoria. The tour ends at the Mercato Centrale, a large covered marketplace, where authenticity, spontaneity and tradition play a leading role. Each stall is an ideal place for shopping and where one can find real, honest food at the right price, the very best that Tuscany and Italy have to offer. Sample some local delicacies. Free time in the afternoon. Transfer back to your hotel. (B)

Day 3:

Montecatini Visit an artisan coffee blender to discover the secrets of coffee roasting. Enjoy a special encounter with a renowned Tuscan chef and learn the art of traditional Italian cooking. Enjoy your efforts for lunch. Free time in the afternoon. (B,L)

Day 4:

Pisa – Lucca Journey to Pisa, where its extraordinary leaning tower has withstood the force of gravity for almost 600 years. Proceed to Lucca, one of Tuscany’s best-kept secrets. Experience a cooking demonstration with lunch at the ancient walls. Return to the hotel.(B,L)

Day 5:

Montecatini or Cinque Terre (optional at extra cherge) Day at leisure or take an optional excursion to discover the spectacular Cinque Terre or “five lands”, a series of breathtakingly beautiful fishing villages nestled beneath vine covered hill terraces on craggy cliffs along the Italian Riviera (extra cost). Day 6:

San Gimignano – Siena Morning departure for San Gimignano, famous for its medieval architecture and towers. At the height of its glory, San Gimignano's patrician families had built around 72 tower-houses as symbols of their wealth and power. Although only 14 have survived, San Gimignano still retains its feudal atmosphere and appearance. Stop at a famous artisan ice cream maker to sample their specialties. Head to Siena along the ancient Via Francigena route to experience a local wine tasting. Admire the architecture in Siena and enjoy some free time for shopping before returning to the hotel. (B,D)
