Day 1:

Figline Valdarno Arrive at Figline Valdarno station and transfer to your quaint apartment in a Tuscan farmhouse. (D)

Day 2:

The Casentino Valley Discover the Casentino Valley. Enjoy lunch in Poppi, an unforgettable medieval village. Continue to the ancient monastery of Saint Francis of Assisi before enjoying dinner in one of the best pizzerias in the area. (B,L,D)

Day 3:

Montalcino – Montepulciano – Val di Chiana Visit Montalcino, renowned for its red wine and visit a prestigious winery. Continue to Montepulciano and watch skilled tradesmen using traditional manufacturing techniques to shape copper in their old artisan shops. End the day with dinner in Lucignano village and a visit to one of the oldest farms of the Val di Chiana to learn about Chianina cow and Cinta Senese pork. (B,L,D)

Day 4:

Tuscany Today choose between a cooking class with the local chef with whom you’ll prepare dinner, or take the train to Florence for a day at your leisure. (B)

Day 5:

The Chianti Region Today is dedicated to wine. Visit a number of castles, wineries and cellars to learn the intimate story of Chianti’s famous wine and the region’s fine extra virgin olive oil. Progress to Greve, home to the most famous butcher and deli shop in Tuscany. On the way back stop at a family-run trattoria to enjoy an authentic Tuscan meal. (B,L)

Day 6:

The Maremma Venture into the heart of the Tuscan countryside to enjoy its extraordinary landscapes. Visit Cantina Antinori and a farm to taste local produce. Continue to one of the best beaches in Tuscany located near Castiglione della Pescaia, a wonderful medieval castle known for its delightful views. Experience a day at the beach, walk amongst the locals and enjoy dinner on one of the fanciest Italian “corso” (streets). (B,D)

Day 7:

Pratomagno Mountain – Loro Ciuffenna - Gropina Experience the beauty and mystery of the Pratomagno Mountain. Visit the quaint village of Loro Ciuffenna and see Gropina’s Roman church. Enjoy a breathtaking view from the summit of Pratomagno, before the last dinner for the tour. (B,L,D)

Figline Valdarno The tour ends after breakfast at the station. (B)
