Day 1:

MILAN > GENOA
Departure at 8:30 am from Starhotels Ritz in Milan, to Genoa (departure is also possible directly from Genoa, joining the group in the lobby of hotel Starhotels President at 10:30 am). Seaport, one of the largest of the Southern Europe, the first in Italy; 6th city of the country, this town has an important history, as a Maritime Republic. Its historical centre has grown around the dock, is full of narrow and characteristic streets and has a medieval origin. Visit of the modern zone of “Ancient Port”, restored for the 500 years of America discovery by Christopher Columbus. Here we find the Aquarius, the second biggest in Europe. Free time for lunch. Accommodation in hotel and free evening for personal interests. Overnight.

Day 2:

GENOA > RAPALLO > PORTOFINO > SANTA MARGHERITA LIGURE > GENOA
Breakfast at hotel and departure to Rapallo. Famous tourist centre, it offers one of the most suggestive examples of architecture of Liguria coast. Visit. Here, we invite you to try a slice of focaccia, typical local bread with its amazing variety, only produced in this area. Then, road to Portofino. Around a little square, you can have a nice view of a group of high, coloured and picturesque houses. In the small port, during the high season, you can see expensive yachts from every part of the world. Visit. Finally, stop in Santa Margherita, famous seaside city of Riviera del Levante (Eastern Riviera), located in the Tigullio Gulf and free time for lunch. Way back to Genoa. Overnight at the hotel (B)

Day 3:

GENOA > PORTO VENERE > CINQUE TERRE > GENOA
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Porto Venere, a fishermen village located at the end of La Spezia Gulf. Visit. Ferry to Cinque Terre (if the atmospheric conditions doesn’t permit the boarding, the visit will be done with a panoramic itinerary in minibus). Heritage of the Unesco, these 5 fishermen villages, symbolize a group unique in the World for its beautiful landscape and the medieval style of their buildings. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon coming back to Porto Venere and then to Genoa. Overnight at the hotel. (B)

Day 4:

GENOA > SANREMO > MONACO > NICE
Breakfast at the hotel and outgoing to Sanremo, defined as the city of flowers and sun, known all over the world for the Italian Song Festival. Its economy is based on flower farming and tourism. This little town of Riviera di Ponente (Western Riviera), offers many possibilities of entertainment like beaches and nice promenades. Its famous Casino is situated on the top of the most elegant street of the town. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, continue on to Monaco. You can see the strong influence of Liguria in this city dominated by Grimaldi princes palace. Visit through the narrow streets of the centre to take picture of the Aquarius, and the Cathedral in which princess Grace was buried. Then, short route around the city of Montecarlo, famous everywhere for its characteristic Grand Prix. You can observe the futuristic palace Grimaldi Forum and probably the most important European casino. Back to Nice for overnight accommodation. (B)

Day 5:

NICE > ST. RAPHAEL > ST. TROPEZ > ESTEREL COAST > NICE
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day of excursion around the French Riviera. First, visit of St. Raphael and St. Tropez, famous both for their beaches but especially for a great number of stars who spend their holidays in the neighbourhood. Free time for lunch. Back to Nice, through the Esterel Coast, best known as Corniche d’or, due to its wonderful panorama. Small beaches but also great peaks and rocks surround a clear and shining sea. Overnight at the hotel. (B)

Day 6:

NICE > ST. PAUL DE VENCE > GRASSE > CANNES > NICE
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to St. Paul de Vence. This is a small medieval village, that still presents the old wall, built by Frank I in 1537; Chagall and Prévert have spent many years of their artistic career here. Grasse is famous for the production of perfumes but also presents a nice historical centre, with Hotel de Ville and Notre-Dame Cathedral. Guided visit to the factory of perfume, discovering tradition and history of this great production worldwide famous. Free time for lunch before continuing to Cannes, probably the most modern town of the district: beach resort, place of many cultural events, as the Film Festival, celebrated in the middle of May. Back to Nice. Overnight at the hotel. (B)

Day 7:

NICE > MILAN Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning in Nice. Then, departure to Milan with a stop on the route in a typical village for free time for lunch. Finally, arrival in Milan and end of services (B)
