Catania – Siracusa – Ragusa Drive to Siracusa to visit the marvellous archaeological area, then continue to the island of Ortigia, to see the magnificent cathedral and Arethusa Fountain. Travel to Ragusa to admire its stunning baroque buildings. Enjoy a tasting of typical Sicilian products. (B,D)
Ragusa – Caltagirone – Piazza Armerina – Agrigento Drive to Caltagirone, famous for its ceramics and pottery. Continue to Piazza Armerina to marvel at the Villa Romana del Casale’s rich mosaics. After lunch, continue to Agrigento and visit the Valley of the Temples. (B,L,D)
Agrigento – Palermo – Monreale Travel to Palermo with time at leisure. Continue to Monreale and visit the cathedral and the Benedictine cloister. Enjoy a city tour of Palermo. (B,D)
Palermo – Segesta – Erice – Trapani area – Palermo Depart to Segesta to visit the temple and the theatre. Continue to the medieval village of Erice on top of a hill overlooking the city of Trapani and the Egadi Islands. Continue to the Trapani area for a panoramic tour of the salt windmills and basins. Palermo – Cefalu – Nebrodi Park – Taormina Drive to Cefalu to admire its well–preserved Arab–Norman cathedral. Drive through the Nebrodi Park and enjoy lunch in the Miraglia Forest. Continue to Cesarò and Randazzo to visit the north part of Mount Etna. Continue to Taormina, the Pearl of the Ionian Sea. (B,L,D)
Taormina Day at leisure or take an optional excursion (extra cost) to Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano. (B,D)
