Day 1:

Perugia Collect your car and drive to your hotel in San Martino in Campo, near Perugia. Enjoy a welcome dinner with traditional products from Umbria. (D)

Day 2:

Orvieto - Todi This morning visit Orvieto, situated on top of a rock, and explore at leisure. Stop in the Antico Buttero and visit the traditional underground wine cellar, where for centuries it has produced and stored the wine of Orvieto. Enjoy a technical wine tasting with local products and a light lunch. Afterwards, we recommend a short visit to the Adriano pastry shop to try Orvieto’s typical cakes and desserts. Continue to the medieval town of Todi and discover the old monuments and craft shops. (B,L)

Day 3:

Montefalco - Bevagna – Assisi Drive to the medieval walled town of Montefalco and visit ancient olive groves. Learn about the various plant varieties and the extra virgin olive oil production techniques, followed by a tasting. On the road to Assisi, we recommend a stop at the ancient medieval town of Bevagna. On arrival in Assisi, explore the town at your leisure and then proceed to Caseificio Broccatelli for a cheese tasting. (B)

Day 4:

Torgiano - Perugia Continue to Torgiano to visit the Azienda Lungarotti and sample their extra virgin olive oil and visit the MOO – Olive and Oil Museum. Next we recommend continuing to Perugia to visit the Perugina chocolate museum, famous for its Baci Perugina chocolates. Stop off at the historical Pasticceria Sandri pastry shop. This evening enjoy a traditional Umbrian dinner at the Osteria I Birbi . (B,D)

Day 5:

Lake Trasimeno - Castiglione del Lago We recommend setting aside the entire day to discover Lake Trasimeno and its characteristic towns. Visit the Azienda Madrevite cellars. Sample olive oil and other typical products. Enjoy time at leisure in Castiglione del Lago, followed by dinner at a trattoria where traditional dishes will be served. (B,D)
